DESIGN YOUR PERFECT
GOD
Certain demands have been made by those who do not believe in GOD or Jesus
Christ, that if today's professing Christianity cannot meet these criteria, the first step in winning hearts to Christ's
message of salvation will not succeed. It has always been the character of GOD that is on trial, and has been the core issue
with every man whether of strict or lax requirements. Therefore, to these individuals a simple question deserves to be asked: “If there was a God worthy
of your love and devotion, what would He be like?”
1. HE WOULD LOVE US MORE THAN HIMSELF. 2.
HE WOULD STOP ALL THE SUFFERING OF LIFE. 3. HE WOULD TAKE AWAY ALL HUNGER.
4. HE WOULD TAKE AWAY ALL DISEASE. 5.
HE WOULD TAKE AWAY ALL GUILT AND REGRET THAT WE FEEL. 6. HE WOULD TAKE
AWAY THE CONSTANT WARFARE. 7. HE WOULD TAKE AWAY ALL CRIME. 8. HE WOULD ADDRESS AND RESOLVE THE INJUSTICES THROUGH HISTORY TO PERFECT SATISFACTION
TO CONSCIENCE. 9. HE WOULD REMOVE THE DEATH ALL CREATURES FACE. 10. HE WOULD NOT TORTURE ANYONE IN ETERNAL HELLFIRE. 11.
HE WOULD ESTABLISH COMMUNITIES THAT WOULD NEVER END. 12. HE WOULD GIVE
EVERYONE A SINGLE LANGUAGE SO EVERYONE COULD TALK TO EACH OTHER. 13. HE
WOULD RESTORE A PEACEFUL, SIMPLE LIFE. 14. HE WOULD RESTORE HIS PRESENCE
WITH ALL MANKIND AS IT WAS "IN THE BEGINNING." With each description
of the "Perfect GOD" the associated Bible verses will answer each one.
1. HE WOULD LOVE US MORE THAN HIMSELF. Jn.10:14-18 I am the good
shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my
life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice;
and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might
take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take
it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. I Cor.10:24 Let
no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth. Phil.2:3,4 Let nothing
be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every
man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
2. HE WOULD STOP ALL THE SUFFERING OF LIFE. Isa.11:6-8 The wolf
also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling
together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together:
and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall
put his hand on the cockatrice' den. Isa.65:25 The wolf and the lamb
shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not
hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
3. HE WOULD TAKE AWAY ALL HUNGER. Isa.49:10 They shall not hunger
nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs
of water shall he guide them. Rev.7:16 They shall hunger no more, neither
thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
4. HE WOULD TAKE AWAY ALL DISEASE. Ps.103:3 Who forgiveth all thine
iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases. Matt.4:24 And his fame went throughout
all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were
possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
Matt.12:15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed
him, and he healed them all. Lu.4:40 Now when the sun was setting, all they
that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. Lu.6:19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of
him, and healed them all. 5. HE WOULD TAKE AWAY
ALL GUILT AND REGRET THAT WE FEEL. Isa.53:1-7 Who hath believed our report?
and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry
ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised
and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised,
and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten
of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our
peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his
own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his
mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. Isa.65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall
not be remembered, nor come into mind. Zeph.3:11 In that day shalt thou
not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of
thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain. Matt.5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Heb.2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise
took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. 6. HE WOULD TAKE AWAY THE CONSTANT WARFARE.
Isa.21:1-5 The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through;
so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land. A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth
treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease. Therefore
are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at
the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it. My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure
hath he turned into fear unto me. Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the
shield. Mic.4:1-8 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain
of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people
shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house
of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion,
and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they
shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation,
neither shall they learn war any more. But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall
make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. For all people will walk every one in the name of his
god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever. In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her
that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted; And I will make her that halted a remnant,
and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for
ever. And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion;
the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.
7. HE WOULD TAKE AWAY ALL CRIME. Isa.65:22 They shall not build,
and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine
elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. Zeph.3:13 The remnant of
Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed
and lie down, and none shall make them afraid. 8.
HE WOULD ADDRESS AND RESOLVE THE INJUSTICES THROUGH HISTORY TO PERFECT SATISFACTION TO CONSCIENCE. Rev.20:12,13 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and
another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the
books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell [or grave] delivered up
the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
9. HE WOULD TAKE AWAY DEATH. Jn.11:21-27 Then said Martha unto Jesus,
Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will
give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in
the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though
he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? She saith
unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world. I Cor.15:52-58 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet
shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption,
and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have
put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where
is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be
to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable,
always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 10. HE WOULD NOT TORTURE ANYONE IN ETERNAL HELLFIRE. Ps.37:10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently
consider his place, and it shall not be. v.20 But the wicked shall perish, and
the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
v.36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. Ob.1:16 For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink
continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been. Mal.4:1-3 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud,
yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that
it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing
in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall [unto the full stature of GOD’S purpose]. And
ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith
the LORD of hosts. 11. HE WOULD ESTABLISH COMMUNITIES
THAT WOULD NEVER END. Jn.14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe
in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to
prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where
I am, there ye may be also. Isa.65:21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit
them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
12. HE WOULD GIVE EVERYONE A SINGLE LANGUAGE SO EVERYONE COULD TALK TO EACH OTHER. Zeph.3:9
For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one
consent. 13. HE WOULD RESTORE A PEACEFUL, SIMPLE
LIFE. Isa.11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain:
for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. Eze.34:11-15
For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. As a shepherd seeketh out his
flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of
all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. And I will bring them out from the people, and gather
them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers,
and in all the inhabited places of the country. I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel
shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.
I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD. Zeph.3:15
The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of
thee: thou shalt not see evil any more. 14. HE
WOULD RESTORE HIS PRESENCE WITH ALL MANKIND AS IT WAS "IN THE BEGINNING." Ex.25:8
And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. I Thess.4:16-18
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and
the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Rev.21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of
God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their
God.
