THE THREE ANGELS MESSAGE
A Verse-by-Verse Commentary

     The single-most important passage of Bible prophecy is designed to prepare the Bible believing Christian for the last call of Jesus Christ to His wayward children throughout the world. This message is to come through the voice of His faithful followers throughout the Earth. It comes as a result of the saints settling into the truth, “as the truth is in Jesus” Eph.4:21. The language of the message appears harsh to those who do not know the depths of sin’s wickedness in the hearts of men. Just look at what man is doing to his fellow man, and to this planet where we are called to be good stewards, and how no steps are being taken to avert the plethora of abuses that are seen all around us. United with man’s assault on the “vital organs” of nature’s ecosystems is an increasingly depraved society ruled by increasingly depraved world leaders (self-appointed elitists) whose hidden agenda has always been and will ever be condemned by Jesus Christ:

“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light [of public scrutiny], lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” Jn.3:19-21.

     The following commentary will focus on the thematic doctrines of salvation, providing associated Bible verses with their principles that will help clarify the symbolism of the passage. Remember, over half the verses of Revelation are drawn from Old Testament passages. So when we let the Bible interpret itself there is seen a cohesiveness that fortifies our faith in the Word of GOD and exposes the many doctrinal contradictions employed by the church to keep people ignorant of the great controversy over sin between Christ and Satan.

REVELATION 14

v.6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

     From the beginning, men have known of the coming of Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world. From Adam and Eve through the generations following Noah, Job, Abraham, and Daniel, “the Christ of God” was known and taught as the coming Saviour of men. From the very first sacrifice of an innocent lamb, men understood how the death of that innocent creature pointed to the sacrifice of the Innocent Christ: "the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."

v.7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

     This verse points every man to Jesus Christ and the Fourth Commandment. For it is “the Son of God” who created all things. And the Sabbath points all men to Jesus. Over 800 verses of Scripture verify Christ as Creator of heaven and Earth. And by honoring the Fourth Commandment we give honor to Jesus Christ as Creator/Savioir/LORD & Friend.

     Why is it then that man wants to hold to this idea of a godless creation? Why is it that men want to put the Creator of heaven and earth at arms length? To believe in a personal Creator naturally requires accountability to Him. But man runs from this accountability just the way the Bible describes that our Premier Father and Mother, Adam and Eve, hid themselves from GOD in the Garden of Eden when they adopted the foolish idea that GOD was a liar and could not be trusted. And that distrust led them to eat of the one fruit that GOD had personally warned them was destructive to their souls. The denial of GOD’S Word is what began the whole cycle of death on earth; and today's denial of Scripture's authority lies at the heart of man’s rejection of the Gospel to the end of time.

     It is a war against GOD’S Word: the Word spoken in perfect love that has caused this great tragedy for life. All creatures on earth have become victims to man’s disregard of GOD’S Word. And when men exalt lies, be they politicians, scientists, doctors, educators, lawyers, or priests, they are in fact serving a system of government that works against their own childhood aspirations; for GOD has given all men a psychological profile: an inherent sense of justice, mercy, and love. But men, by the tens of millions, have seared their conscience against this Heaven-born Love, and the laws of government that uphold its blessing.

     When we cannot rest in the knowledge that our Creator truly loves us and only works to achieve our good we create other theories to give us a sense of value. The only way to establish true self-esteem is to search and discover the scientific and moral truth of GOD'S supreme love for us. And once the principle of unselfish love is discovered as the leading attribute of our Creator, our value as individuals swells to a lofty summit; for we learn that GOD Himself lives to serve no less than our beating heart or breathing lungs exist to serve. But how much greater is GOD than your heart! Symbiotic law, which is the cornerstone of universal government proves both the existence of GOD and His self-emptying love towards His Creation.

     The most fundamental principle taught within the Bible teaches that all of GOD'S ways work to the promotion of life not its destruction. But men refuse to believe this principle and are actually at war with the governing laws of creation; and, as a result, injustice, disease and death are the leading characteristics seen among the life of earth. Competition and death have become so commonplace that atheistic science assumes that death is the ruling force of all Creation—good and evil are eternally kindred forces. The Bible declares this philosophy is flawed at its very core.

v.8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

     Shortly after the great flood of Noah's day, men quickly united once more in sin and began building the tower of Babel in defiance of GOD and His salvation. This global unification of sinful men was abruptly halted when GOD came down and created different languages among the people to confuse their work of apostasy, whose variants of different languages remain with us to this day. Their plan to unite all men in sin was open for all to see. During this age of apostasy (while Noah was still alive) Nimrod established the city of Babylon. It was his debased character of tyrannical supremacy that has continued throughout history, being evident in every king who ruled over the lives of others. In fact, through Nimrod, sun worship was first inaugurated. Therefore, the apostasy of Babylon and the traditions of sun worship, including Sunday sacredness became inseparable. And all through time, various heathen deities have led nations to sun worship and thus to sin against the Fourth Commandment. Satan always employed the use of miracles to secure his prey and fasten them in sin.

     Today, the tower of Babel is under construction once more. But this time it is being framed behind closed doors. Our Father in heaven prevented the global unification of sinful men then, but He won’t prevent it today. Babylon today may be defined in one simple quote that sums up the relationship between the world's leading religion with GOD: “The Church is above the Bible.”—The Catholic Record, Sept.1, 1923.

     The Bible has given the clear prophecy that the Christian church will never obey (Dan.7:25; 12:1). While claiming obedience to GOD these religious leaders, in their outward show of reverence, in their decorative robes of illusionary righteousness, defy and deny the very Law of GOD, the only laws where we are safe in one another’s care, the only laws where utopian life may be found—the laws that will be honored forever in the “new earth” including the seventh-day Sabbath (Isa.66:22,23). “All His commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever.” Ps.111:7,8.

v.9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

     In these words are seen a coming union of church and state, and the warning to all people of this amalgamation of apostate religion uniting with apostate government: both of which are unfit to lead their own lives let alone the lives of others. GOD is clear on our personal responsibility to never lead anyone to sin (Eze.3:18). But men, both in and out of the church will not "hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches." In this prophecy we also see how the virtues of America's Constitution are to be fully discarded. But liberty's downfall doesn't come through normal channels. It will be nature’s backlash against man’s tampering with the fragile balance of life that will be the springboard for corrupt men to assert their authority in the vain attempt to preserve a fundamentally immoral race.

     Christ gave several prophecies on this final phase of earth's history. Among them includes these words, "Fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven." Jesus said that there would be, as a result of these fearful sights, "men's hearts failing them for fear of what is coming upon the earth." What is to come? Let the world’s wisest man, King Solomon, choose the direction of our research. As a wise old man he wrote, "The thing that hath been it is that which shall be." The history of our past is the prophecy of our future. What does Scripture teach about fearful sights and great signs from heaven? In the book of Job, it is written that Satan caused fire to fall from the sky and burn to death both people and animals (Job 1:6). The Bible teaches that Satan is about to do it again, but on a much grander scale (Revelation 13:13). This is the coming threat to man's survival that will bring the final competition between men over who will rule the world.

     The coming threat forecasting annihilation of the human race will lead to a horrific system of religious tyranny that the world has yet to face. This tyranny will become so severe that our religious leaders will command the civil authorities to impose the death sentence on all who refuse subservience to the legislated decree of the church, which, at its very foundation, defies the Ten Commandment Law: "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand [by carrying out through their actions the law allowing religious persecution] or in their foreheads [through their intellectual acceptance of the religious tyranny]: And that no man may buy or sell [provide life support for family or friends], save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." "And whosoever would not worship…should be killed."

     This is the clear prophecy of America’s future uniting religion with government. The Bible identifies logically, ethically, historically, and Biblically “the mark,” which is the ancient tradition of Nimrod/sun worship enforcing all men to sin against the Fourth Commandment.

     “The name of the beast” is Rome, as verified in the two prophecies identifying the final four kingdoms to rule the Earth until "the last day." Daniel, chapters 2&7 define Rome from two perspectives: 1. From the iron legs and feet of a great statue of a man; and 2. A "beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet." Because of this ruthless character Rome has been asigned the ignominious title: "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." Rev.17:5. It is a mystery simply because the world is blind to the condemnation of sin within the pagan ceremonies and doctrines of the Roman priesthood. And yet, the papacy remains the preeminent religion on Earth, having the greatest wealth (via the Rothschilds) and the greatest political influence (via Jesuits of Georgetown University, George Washington University, and American University writing America's federal legislation).

     And “the number of his name” is none other than Vicarius filii Dei (or Vicar of the Son of God). This is the pope's official title of which he himself claims. This Latin title numerically adds up to 666 in each of the three Biblical languages of Hebrew, Greek and Latin. The pope’s title was in common use until the seventeenth century, when accusations from Protestant scholars identified the pope as the great "Antichrist" of Bible prophecy with Paul’s identifying titles, “that man of sin...the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” II Thess.2:3,4.

     Direct quotes from popes verify the prophecy that Paul gave: "We hold the place of Almighty GOD on earth."—Pope Leo XIII, Apostolic Letter, June 20, 1894. "The Pope...is Jesus Christ himself, hidden under the veil of flesh." –Pope Pius X. "You know that I am the Holy Father, the representative of GOD on earth, the Vicar of Christ, which means that I am GOD on the earth."–Pope Pius XI, April 30, 1922. The blasphemy of claiming attributes of Deity is defined in Scripture thus: "The Jews answered Him [Christ], For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God." John 10:33.

     The necessity to silence these accusations forced the Vatican to remove his title from the "Triple Tiara" crown worn by the pope as the coronation miter. Nevertheless, the numerical value of each of the letters of the pope's title adds up to exactly 666 in the same three languages used on the placard Pontius Pilate posted on the Cross of Christ. The same three languages pointing to Jesus Christ point also to the Antichrist! Because the great Reformers of the church from John Wycliffe to John Wesley brought to light the true prophetic history of the modern era (most of whom came from the Catholic priesthood), they all faced the threat of death from Rome. History is filled with the drama between righteousness and unrighteousness: between GOD’S working to enlighten men and Satan’s response, prompting bloodshed among men to hinder the Gospel’s progress.

     To purge the world of the Protestant Reformation, the Vatican inaugurated a new priesthood, the Jesuit Order, whose sole function to this day is to counter the work of the Reformation with a theological fairytale that removes all association of the pope with the great Antichrist of Bible prophecy. It is this fictitious fabrication being pawned off as infallible doctrine that rules the thinking of every mainstream Protestant today. Rome is now viewed as exempt from all condemnation of Scripture. America’s religious leaders declare their allegiance is to the pope as do religious leaders around the world. Jerry Falwell said that Pope John Paul II “is the best hope we Baptists ever had.” Billy Graham, Pat Robertson, and other leading churchmen have concurred with this alliance. Why is the pope so highly revered by Christians when the Bible warns everyone to never entrust their salvation to any sinful man, let alone one whose religion intends to perpetuate sin forever? Three reasons explain the dangers from man’s love of vicariously living through the power of others in their pride and traditions:

1. Said the LORD, “They have rejected Me that I should not reign over them.” I Sam.8:7.
2. “They received not the love of the truth that they might be saved.” II Thess.2:10.
3. When they fail in their responsibility they have someone else to blame. Gen.3:12,13.

"And all the world wondered after the beast." Rev.13:3.

v.10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.

     This is the fate of the pope, and of all who follow him in sin. The Bible points the Christian to heed the words of Jesus, “but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.” Matt.19:17. Satan has deceived the ruling churches to dishonor these words. But the Bible promises eternal life as well as GOD’S blessing of a good understanding if we honor Jesus and the Law He died to uphold as He said: “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” Jn.6:63. The perfect wisdom of Christ was found in His obedience: “A good understanding have all they that do his commandments.” Ps.111:10. And with the coming of Christ it was prophesied: “he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.” Isa.42:21.

     In defiance to Scripture’s promise of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ as man's One and Only Saviour, repentance from sin, and implicit obedience to GOD’S Moral Law the world’s foremost religion seated in the Vatican of Rome has removed any obligation to obey two of the Ten Commandments: the 2nd and the 4th. Rome baptizes every Catholic from their very infancy to renounce the authority of the Ten Commandments in their Christian walk. And most Protestant churches agree with Rome in their defiance of the 4th Commandment; and thus, stand in agreement with Rome to perpetuate sin forever. In fact, the whole world is unanimous in its belligerence against the 4th Commandment with the exception of Judaism and a few Protestant denominations, with the Seventh-day Adventist Church being the most prominent commandment-keeping church. Virtually the whole world stands united against the 4th Commandment: whether of Christians, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Atheists, the New Agers, Masons, Witches, or Satan worshippers. So, as each of these religions claim theirs to be the one true religion, Biblically speaking, they all agree to stand united in this one sin: the one sin that dishonors Jesus Christ as Creator and Redeemer. But the Bible’s obligation of all men to honor the Law that guarantees the safety of life is the right arm of Christ’s salvation.

     Had Jesus Christ disobeyed the 4th Commandment as the churches do today He would have failed to live “without sin” (Heb.4:15; 9:28); and thus when Jesus died on the Cross He would have remained in the grave and the human race would have been lost forever: to be relinquished to everlasting death. Even those who presently reside in heaven today: Enoch, Moses, and Elijah would’ve been forced to die. The Creator’s plan of redemption would have failed and Satan’s victory would have been complete in overthrowing GOD’S sovereign authority on the Earth. This is why the devil tempted Christ so fiercely, even as He was dying on the Cross, carrying the burden of “the sin of the world” (Matt.27:46).

     But Christ conquered sin! And His obedience is not a license for disobedience. The Bible is absolutely clear on the union between the Ten Commandments and our salvation: “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” Rev.22:14 (KJV only). This is what repentance is all about: to separate from the sins that destroy the soul, because to remain in sin is to perish in the sin, for Christ can have no place in a man’s heart where any sin rules in his life. This is why Jesus warned of the day when He tells multitudes of popes, cardinals, bishops, reverends, fathers, pastors, elders, deacons, and laity alike: “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matt.7:23.

v.11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

     Let us be clear on what this verse is saying. It is the smoke that ascends forever, and not the torment, as it was prophesied: “But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.” Ps.37:20. And leading up to their final destruction it is also prophesied: “There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.” Isa.48:22. There is no peace because men know full well their belligerence against their own convictions of conscience concerning right and wrong. This is why Jesus said, “And when he [“the Spirit of truth”] is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment” Jn.16:8.

v.12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

     Those who honor the Law that Jesus honored to redeem mankind understand that Satan’s condemnation is simply because he dishonors GOD’S Law. The LORD said it plain enough to the devil: "thou hast sinned" (Eze.28:16). And Satan leads men to take up the same banner of rebellion, and therefore share his fate of destruction in “the lake of fire” cleansing of the Earth. This sick, perverted objective to lead all men to share in his destruction lays at the heart of his accusations, “which accused them before our God day and night.” Rev.12:10.

v.13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

     As the dawn of the Judean model of Christianity was met with religious persecution, of having their property confiscated, thrown in prison, and slaughtered by ruthless men, so the closing of the Christian era will be met with identical abuse, misapprehension, and mocking indifference of Heaven’s messengers.

v.14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

     The event that every faithful man, woman, and child have longed to see is the Great Deliverance of Jesus Christ at His Second Advent: “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” Rev.19:11-16.

v.15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

     Right on the brink of human extinction at the close of “the seven plagues” the greatest rescue of human history will be seen: the coming of the LORD Jesus Christ! His 2nd Advent brings to a close the battle of “Armageddon” (Rev.16:16). “The Saviour,” with His retinue of holy angels will stand stationary in the sky while the Earth continues its rotation of a thousand miles per hour beneath His feet; and for twenty-four hours the landscape beneath Him will be melting as wax before the fire (Mic.1:4; Zech.14:12).

v.16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

“His sickle” is symbolic of the vast host of holy angels, the ones who were assigned as guardian angels to the faithful from every generation, they will be ahead of the blazing tempest beneath the Saviour’s feet (Matt.18:10), gathering the sacred harvest from the living and the faithful dead: those that Jesus calls forth from the grave (Matt.24:31): those who followed the leading of the Holy Spirit and/or believed His Word (Rom.2:13-15). This is “The day of the Lord” (I Thess.5:2)!

v.17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

v.18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

v.19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

     Despite the many fictitious descriptions of Armageddon, the coming of Jesus Christ is simply the conclusion of the final battle between the eternally disobedient church (I Tim.1:5-11) and the eternally faithful Church bearing both Christ’s obedience to His Ten Commandment Law and His virtuous character (Jn.12:48; Rev.17:14).

     Well did the prophets and apostles understand the global destruction of sinful men at Christ’s return: “And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem [the LORD’S chosen people (Rom.2:28; Gal.3:29)]; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.” “Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?” “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?” Zech.14:12; Amos 5:18-20; II Pet.3:11,12.

v.20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

     The Bible’s many prophecies of the future, forecasting both the end of fallen angels and sinful men as well as the eternal wonders of the new earth, all are perfectly logical, and the evidence is overwhelming both scientifically and morally. This is the great blessing of Bible prophecy: that you know what is to come before it comes, that none be caught off guard; and preparations can be made, morally, mentally and physically as Paul said, "But ye brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief."

     But a final trial is coming that all men must pass through; and it is founded on these words spoken by Satan himself: "All that a man has will he give for his life." This is the last temptation to befall the human race. This temptation will impose through government legislation the enforced disobedience to GOD’S Holy Law; for the world is unanimously against it; and steps are being taken to unite today’s Christian views with law enforcement to impose the dogma of the church on the citizens of earth. And the following words of Christ will become very important as the end draws near: "He who seeks to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever loses his life for my sake the same shall find it." Holding to the truth of GOD’S way of salvation must become more important than one’s self-preservation in this present world. As all must eventually die it makes little difference whether one dies by execution or by cancer.

     The greatest hypocrisy this world will ever know is the revelation that those claiming to be the representatives of GOD or scientific truth are merely traitors to their profession. Treachery rules among the leaders of earth: in science, medicine, law, religion and government. Said Christ, "A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven." "For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh."

     GOD knows His own in every walk of life, and He will lead them and gather them to stand together for the last great conflict between true love and its obvious counterfeit.
