"Take heed that no man deceive you..."

     The entertainment industry (film, music and television), news and talk shows starve and rob society from the moral value of the great spiritual lesson that "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Rom.6:23).

     In fact, many films claim that their fictional "happy ending" is the summit of life's joy, and thus present this as the pinnacle of man's achievement, love and life's fulfillment. But when compared to the true virtuous lives of certain men and women through history, this so-called virtue is actually exposed as the moral degradation that it is, and thus has led our society to demonstrate a cruel and foolish indifference to the pressing issues facing the common man as society's progression to its own ruin picks up the pace. Why else would the entertainment industry continue to thrive if it wasn't being nourished with everyone's money?

     There is much that is undeserving of financial support. In fact, unethical men in authority demand through legislation that every citizen share in their sins, whether in entertainment, business, corrupt government, and even many churches and religions that have flooded our world. All this is through self-serving men and women who are placed in positions of authority.

     Sin is reaching its climax. And there is a point that GOD will not allow men to continue on in sin. There is far too much abuse of life and of trust for this immoral governance to continue much longer. Many stories of the Bible illustrate this point of no return for both nations and their religions. Even atheism plays a significant role in contributing to life's destruction.

     The words are swiftly coming into play: "Hast thou not procured this unto thyself, in that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, when he led thee by the way?...Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts." Jer.2:17,19.

     What people do not understand is that when GOD leaves, life's "Adversary," Satan goes to work. And his will is never for the benefit of man. As Jesus left the country of the Gergesenes when asked to leave, so GOD leaves a society when His blessing of jurisdiction is cast to the wind: "Woe also to them when I depart from them." Hos.9:12.

     But for every warning there is found a remedy for those who "hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches" (Rev.2:11). The GOD of Heaven is speaking to His church bride who will one day be raised from the dead and translated from the living "to meet the Lord in the air," "and every eye shall see him:"

"Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.
For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children. In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." Isa.54:4-17
