THE DAY THE EARTH
With the events leading up to “the last
day” when “the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels” (Matt.16;27), virtually
the whole religious and secular world stand in a precarious position. This is because the education of the congregations and society
at large has been sabotaged by Satan’s agents both in and out of the church. Historically this has been the cause of
every kingdom’s downfall through history. We won’t delve into the cause and effect of the saboteurs but rather
address the clear and present danger as declared in the Holy Word of GOD to expose a false teaching that is so prevalent that
it threatens every Bible believing Christian.
The verses assigned to the
Second Advent of Jesus Christ are so devastating in character that for the churches to impose their teaching that life continues
on Earth for a thousand years of peace when the Bible teaches death and destruction literally carpets the surface of the Earth
for that millennium proves the false expectations of the religious leaders, and that the spirit leading them is undeniably
"a lying spirit" (II Chron.18:21). The Apostle John forewarned of evil spirits among the brethren: “Beloved,
believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”
I Jn.4:1. We are to try the spirits by the word of GOD, for "if they speak not according to this word, it is because
there is no light in them." Isa.8:20.
It needs to be understood that each of “the seven plagues” leading up to the Second Advent forecasts the
extinction of all life on the Earth. This global destruction was inevitable the moment sin took dominion of the Earth through
the conspiracy of Satan who determined from the beginning to destroy the image of GOD in man. (We see this today with all
the ill proportioned, malnourished physiques, the tattoos, the deformities of surgery, the hair colors, exaggerated makeup,
and immodest jewelry, etc.)
the key verses assigned to the Second Advent of Jesus Christ. With each, a description of their moral and scientific counterpart
will reinforce the sheer weight of the verses.
Revelation 16:17 And the
seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne,
saying, It is done.
Three times Christ
says those words, “It is done;” and each time represents His deliverance. First: on the Cross when His deliverance
from sin was secured for man as He passed from life to death on Sabbath Eve (Jn.19:30). Second: at the end of the seven last
plagues when His deliverance secures those who “loved not their lives unto death” (Rev.16:17). And third: at the
time when Christ recreates the earth as it was in its pristine beginning before sin took dominion (Rev.21:6).
v.18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake,
such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
That Voice out of the temple of heaven shakes the Earth. The Voice that spoke the stars, angels, and man into being,
that Voice that said, “thou art mine,” also has the power to voice His displeasure: “The voice of thy thunder
was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.” “Canst thou thunder with
a voice like Him?” Ps.77:18; Job 40:9.
v.19 And the great city was
divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto
her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
Wrote Jeremiah of this time just preceding the Second Advent: “And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day
from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried;
they shall be dung upon the ground. Howl ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes; ye principal of the flock:
for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel. And the
shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.” Jer.25:33-35. In these verses we see
the culprit for the coming devastation: Apostate rulers over the religious affairs of men.
And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
This is the moment the Earth flips on its axis. The magnetic poles reverse and the Earth heaves as it tumbles in space,
thus fulfilling the prophecy of Isaiah: “Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and TURNETH IT
UPSIDE DOWN, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof…The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled:
for the LORD hath spoken this word. The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty
people of the earth do languish. The earth also is defiled [polluted] under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed
the laws [the immutable Ten Commandments], changed the ordinance [altered what GOD spoke in sacred absolutes], broken the
everlasting covenant [denied the method GOD ordained for the salvation of His children]. Therefore hath the curse devoured
the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left…Fear,
and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth. And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the
noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare:
for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake. The earth is utterly broken down, the earth
is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed
like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.” Isa.24:1-20.
At this time the living saints and
those who survived the wrath of GOD against sin will witness a mighty spectacle: “And the stars of heaven fell unto
the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.” Rev.6:13. As the flips
its axis the stars will be seen racing through the sky, and all nature will seem out of control. The Earth will displace the
atmosphere along the ground creating a vacuum that must equalize the inertia, thus creating a massive wave of turbulence on
both land and sea.
v.21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven,
every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof
was exceeding great.
weight has been measured between 50 to 100 pounds each. This combined with the accumulated force from their speed as they
descend from the sky will obliterate all the objects remaining of man’s idolatry and admiration: the sky scrapers, the
memorials, all the things where men worshiped the works of their hands without acknowledging that GOD provided the laws of
physics, the intellect, the emotion of inspiration, and the materials to accomplish the great feats of men. Jeremiah was given
prophecy concerning this moment of earth’s history after Christ rescues His bride from the murderous hypocrites who
boast of their obedience to GOD, taking the name of Christian and defaming it before the on-looking universe. Wrote the prophet:
“I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void [barren and lifeless (Gen.1:2)]; and the heavens, and they
had no light. I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly [like waves of the sea]. I beheld,
and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heaven were fled. I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness,
and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by His fierce anger. For thus hath the LORD said,
The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end. For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be
black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.” Jer.4:23-28.
In summation: There is to be no millennium of
temporal peace on earth! It is a Biblical impossibility. And all who deny the Scripture’s prophetic outline for the
fate of this present world have exalted Biblically illiterate opinions above the plain "Thus saith the LORD.”
Now is the time that Revelation chapter 20 will
be fulfilled and brought to view: “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit [the
Greek word is synonymous with the translated Hebrew word for the lifeless earth, “without form and void” (Gen.1:2)]
and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound
him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive
the nations no more, until the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. And I
saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for
the witness of Jesus, and for the Word of GOD, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received
his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” Rev.20:1-4.
Said Christ, “In my Father's house
are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come again [at the Second Advent], and receive you unto myself ["in the clouds"]; that where I am
[with GOD the Father], there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Jn.14:2-4.
The Savior takes the redeemed of earth to the paradise
of heaven: "new Jerusalem," to live there for a thousand years and review all the history of earth, judging every
angel, man, woman, and child (of the age of accountability) by the eternal Law of Christ: the Ten Commandments. Satan is left
on a dark, barren planet with no one to afflict, tempt, or destroy. He waits a thousand years in darkness and with great anguish
for the return of Christ with His saints to carry out the guilty verdict against him and all those who refused to obey the
perfect Law of heaven: given by the Great Lawgiver Who says, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” Jn.14:15.
When false expectations are held, all who stand
unprepared will become victims of the leaders who betray their trust as stewards of the LORD Jesus Christ. And concerning
every Bible rebellious leader in the church, from the pope down to the popular evangelical and charismatic preacher, the Apostle
Paul proclaimed: “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also
be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” “Whose end is
destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.” II Cor.11:13-15;
Phil.3:19. Their shame is found in their sinful nakedness before Jesus Christ. The call to repent means nothing to them. Only
their lust for power over the lives of others is their religion, not "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the
Father." Ja.1:27. In summation, the churches are only building the kingdom of this world, not “the kingdom of heaven.”
"Verily, they have their reward."
It has always been as Jesus said to the religious leaders of His day: “hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom
of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in…for ye compass
sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.”
Matt.23:13. They are hypocrites because they claim to serve GOD while living a life of sin and evangelize living a sinful
life wherever they go. And faith and sin will never be partners in salvation!
In closing, the power of the devastation to come is only in response to the world’s increasing tyranny and religious
persecution against the innocent. GOD'S wrath always corresponds with the degree of abuse. And because false expectations
are ushering the ministers and their flocks to Satan’s prescribed slaughterhouse, thus accounting for the eternal death
of multitudes (Eze.34) GOD calls on every faithful man, woman, and child to use their voice to teach, to warn, and above all
to love throughout these coming scenes. The love of the saints must exceed the hatred of those deceived to their ruin for
both here and eternity.
A most simple
tactic has always been and will ever be the right arm of Satan’s power: to use the one to deceive the many. We must
understand why today’s Christianity is nothing short of a rebellion against the pure religion of Jesus Christ and why
this explains the loss of so many that Christ died to redeem from sin's condemnation. The churches are too full of pride
to discern their association with these words in the book of Hebrews: “For it is impossible for those who were once
enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word
of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away [Greek text means to apostatize; to forever renounce
GOD’S Holy Law], to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put
him to an open shame.” Heb.6:4-6.
This passage does not refer to the “backslider” (Jer.3:12) nor does it refer to one who has fallen into
sin (Ex.34:7), but only to those who refuse to recover from their sins (Isa.30:12). And Bible prophecy states that the church
hierarchy will never recover; and all who associate with the sins of the church from the pope on down will share in their
denunciation by Jesus Christ (Matt.7:21-23; 25:33-46) no less than those who followed Pharaoh into the Red Sea shared his
fate of destruction (Ps.136:15). The decision of one led to the death of many then; and the decision of one will lead to the
death of many today. The principles of history never change (Eccl.1:9-11).
