RELIGIOUS IGNORANCE AND BIBLE ILLITERACY The Jehovah’s Witness has imposed himself
in homes all across America. While “cold calling” has its place in literature evangelism the Jehovah’s Witness
stands unique among “Christians” in their doctrines concerning the LORD Jesus Christ. Most Christian denominations
have called them a cult. Christians are eager to call any religion outside of their own a cult. The age-old declaration of
Roman Catholicism still holds that there is no salvation outside of the Catholic Church. Many other denominations take this
prideful stance. This is dangerous. The counsel of Jesus is precious counsel: "Yea, and why even of yourselves judge
ye not what is right?" "Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive,
and ye shall be forgiven." Lu.12:57; 6:37
One should understand that any religion or philosophy that teaches amiss any doctrines of Christ’s salvation
and/or evangelizes sin against any of the Ten Commandments is Biblically defined as a heathen religion and therefore unfit
to lead anyone (Eze.22:4). To lead the souls of others is the most solemn work there is in a sinful world where life and death
decisions in salvation are made every day. In this, the Scriptures are to be the mainstay of every believer in Jesus Christ.
And the foundation of allegiance to Jesus Christ is summed up in one verse: “To the law [the Ten Commandments] and to
the testimony [the Holy Bible]: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”
Isa.8:20. And to think that after
all these centuries the priests of Rome still evangelize the transgression against two of the Ten Commandments. For 1,700
years this "tradition of men" has ruled in Rome and will continue imposing their doctrines evangelizing sin against
GOD’S Holy Law as acceptable service to Jesus Christ. It is exactly today just as Jesus said in His day: “Full
well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” Mk.7:9.
The nominal Protestants, Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses stand among them in their
belligerence to sin against the Holy Law of Jesus Christ, Who Himself gave to Moses the Standard of Judgment for every man
on Mount Sinai (Ex.31:18; Jn.8:58; Rom.2:13). Therefore, while they each claim superiority over one another, they in fact
stand united in sin and thus bring disgrace to the LORD Jesus Christ: "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened...If
they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put
him to an open shame ." Heb.6:4-6. Multitudes
worship their church in place of the worship of GOD. This is among the great sins of Christians today; for the worship of
one’s church is a transgression of the 1st Commandment: “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.” Ex.20:3.
It is a form of idolatry that robs GOD of the Glory due Him! Men by the millions only worship their religion, not the GOD
of true religion, for if they worshiped GOD, Bible prophecy would have defined a very different outcome than the one that
is pending for us in our generation. It is the worship of one's religion not "pure religion and undefiled before
God" that will bring the Earth to desolation (Ja.1:27; Rev.13:4; 11:18).
While the Jehovah’s Witnesses show discipline and have some wise beliefs in certain areas of the Gospel work
there are two aspects of the Gospel commission where they stand utterly inept and bring disgrace to the GOD they claim to
serve. First and foremost: they deny
the many verses of Scripture declaring Christ’s equality with the Father, even the verses ascribed to Him in the Old
Testament as “the LORD” (or Jehovah). Let’s look at a few: Jn.8:58
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
In this verse alone we see that Jesus was the Great I AM: Who gave Moses the Ten Commandments and delivered the children
of Israel from slavery. He was “the LORD,” the Shekinah Glory on the mercy seat in the Most Holy apartment of
the temple. Jesus has always been man's direct "mediator" with heaven (Gal.3:19,20). The Jehovah’s Witness’ New World translation says
the verse this way: "Before Abraham was, I have been.” While their translation
has the words of Jesus in the ‘past tense:’ “I have been,” every Greek manuscript (without exception)
has His words in the ‘present continuous tense:’ “I AM.”
The proof of Christ’s claim as the Great "I AM" is found in the following verse when the Jew’s
responded to His claim: “Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple,
going through the midst of them, and so passed by.” (v.59). "The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we
stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God." Jn.10:33. The most profound declaration Jesus made in His relationship
with His Father: "I and my Father are One." Jn.10:30. The Apostle Paul complimented the Saviour's words: "Christ
Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God." Phil.2:6. Just how equal is Jesus to our heavenly Father? This is where
we will plainly see that Christ is “the LORD” just as GOD the Father is “the LORD.” The term Jehovah
applies to Jesus Christ no less than it applies to our Father in heaven. This is the great stumbling block of Jehovah's
Witnessess. And this truth they are brainwashed to deny.
The boasting of men in their opinions that deny the plain "Thus saith the LORD" is evidence of the arrogance
of ignorance! Isa.26:21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to
punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her
slain. This verse is prophetic of
the 2nd Advent of Jesus Christ. Here are some other passages of “the LORD” assigned to the 2nd Advent of Jesus
Christ: Ps.50:1-6 The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called
the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.
Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about
him. He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. Gather my saints together unto
me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge
himself. Selah. Isa.25:9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our
God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in
his salvation. Then there are the
verses where all judgment is ascribed to both “the LORD” and Jesus: Ps.98:5-9
Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful
noise before the LORD, the King. Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Let the
floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness
shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.
Jesus affirms Himself as judge in this verse: “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment
unto the Son.” Jn.5:22. Also,
several Old Testament verses are ascribed to “the LORD” as the “Saviour.” Here is one:
Isa.45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath
declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me;
a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
The Apostle Paul also ascribed several verses to Christ as “our Saviour:” “To Titus, mine own son
after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour… Looking
for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.” Titus 1:4; 2:13. And here’s a verse where Jesus ascribes
His subservience as “the LORD” to His Father, as “the LORD:” Zech.3:2
And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not
this a brand plucked out of the fire? If
Jesus was not equal with the Father He would not have received the worship of men: "And when they [the wise men of the
east] were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when
they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh." Matt.2:11. Neither
would Jesus have accepted the title of "God:" "And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God."
Jn.20:28. So, in conclusion, the Jehovah's
Witness stands illiterate to the most basic tenet of salvation by denying Jesus Christ as "the LORD." On this foundation
of sand, they have established a prophetic scenario that stands equally illiterate. Their view of Bible prophecy declares
that Atheism will crush nominal Christianity, but when the Atheists come after the Jehovah's Witness, this will be when
Jehovah says, enough is enough; for they believe that they alone are "the apple of his eye."
The Second Disgrace the Jehovah’s Witness brings
to the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that they have no medical missionary work whatsoever! Half of Christ’s ministry was
medical missionary work. And while Catholic and Protestant churches alike have many hospitals in their attempt to honor Christ's
medical ministry, all of them are ruled by the government, the AMA, the pharmaceutical and insurance companies—and not
the GOD of heaven. Today's conventional medicine is a drug pushing chemo poisoning industry that does more harm than good.
But godly individuals within each of them send medical missionaries to every isolated area of the nations of Earth to minister
with disinterested love to meet their medical needs. The Jehovah’s Witness stands completely outside of Christ’s
example, even the minimum He set for His disciples to emulate.
So, the Jehovah’s Witness denies Jesus His rightful place of equality with the Father as “the LORD”
(Jehovah) and they deny the LORD’S ministry to meet the practical needs of the people. And yet, they claim to be "the
apple of his eye" (Zech.2:8). Theirs is a precarious condition. "The LORD" calls for repentance from all sin,
not only from them, but from us all. "But whosoever shall deny me
before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." "Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people
and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?" "Because they
have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending
them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD." "Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they
were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation
they shall be cast down, saith the LORD." Matt.10:33; Deut.32:6; Jer.29:19; 6:15; 8:12.
